Note: According to the roster of War of 1812-14 (pg 439) by Herbert T. Johnson, Adj
           general of VT gives the following information: "Asa Washburn, Corporal, Putney,
           served in Capt. Parson's Co., Col Jonathan William's Regt. Detached Militia in U.S.
           Service 2 months and 13 days, 1812. Pension certificate No 9922. Pension
           certificate of widow, Ruth, No 16989." Asa and Eunice lived in Putney until about
           1853 when he married agian and went to Winchester, N.H. to live.

                                                                                              Elizabeth Sarah, Hannah married

Note: This family belonged to the Congregational Church of Putney, VT and all the
           children were baptized there. What became of many of them is still unknown. 
           Eunice came south with her daughters Mary Jane and Hannah Emeline in 1854
           to visit the Shirk's. She died while on this visit.
